  1. What is orthotherapy :

  2. Orthotherapy combines deep tissue massage therapy, articular mobilisation, specific stretching and rehabilitation exercises.

  3. After an evaluation, the orthotherapist puts together a specific treatment protocol, according to the findings. To do so, he (she) disposes of a multitude of tools. Among them are: cold, heat, intrasound,  electrostimulation, vibrotherapy, spinal elongation, mud packs, essential oils and baulmes.




  1. Is a medical referral necessary to make an appointment?

  2. No. Although one may be necessary for you to be reimbursed by your insurance company. 




  1. Are treatments covered by OHIP or the Quebec government?

  2. No. We are a private clinic. Most insurance companies will reimburse some of the costs (if you have such a plan).




  1. What is the waiting period to get an appointment?

  2. For a simple evaluation of an injury, it is generally possible to have one on the same day. As for a complete treatment, the waiting period can vary from a couple of days to a week.




  1. How many treatments will I need?

  2. The number of treatments needed depends on many factors. Of witch: the nature of the injury, the age of the patient, his (or her) physical condition, nutrition, patient implication, all have an impact on the duration of the treatment. But no matter what therapy is chosen, a good positive difference should be felt within three to four treatments.




  1. Do you to take X-rays?

  2. No. The clinic doesn't have the appropriate equipment. If we determine that they are of interest, we will ask you to get some.




  1. What are the costs?

  2. For a simple injury evaluation, the fees are 35$. For a full treatment (about one hour), the fees are 95$ for the first one (witch includes the opening of a patient file, an evaluation and a treatment), And 80$ for any subsequent treatments (if necessary).
    All prices include all applicable taxes.




  1. What are the payment modalities?

  2. We accept personal cheques or cash. Debit card or credit cards are not accepted.




  1. Are there any medical doctors at the clinic?

  2. No. We have orthotherapists specialized in sports injuries.




  1. Do you do cortisone injections?

  2. No. Although they are in some cases necessary, they are rarely the appropriate treatment.
